Your Opportunity:

As a Dietitian I with Alberta Health Services, you will have the opportunity to provide expert nutrition advice and care to patients in acute care, continuing care, outpatients, and home care settings.

Description:

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care plans for patients. You will also have the opportunity to develop and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention in community settings. Additionally, you will provide nutrition education to students and other healthcare professionals to support the delivery of evidence-based nutrition information.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition, completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada, and active or eligible registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA) are essential requirements for this role.

Additional Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a patient-centered approach, be comfortable working with seniors and their families, and possess excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a position covering a variety of practice areas is preferred, but not required.
