Position Overview

As a Construction Laborer at METRO VAN CONSTRUCTION LTD, you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and execution of construction tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated areas on site.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Material Mixing: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt for various construction applications.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites to prepare for building foundations.
  • Ground Leveling: Level earth to meet fine grade specifications to ensure a stable foundation.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: English is the primary working language.
  • Work Hours: Expect to work between 35 to 40 hours per week.
