About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Teacher to join our team at The Rec Room Child Care. As a Program Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for Toddlers and Preschoolers, promoting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans and activities that support early developmental milestones among Toddlers and Preschoolers.
  • Child Guidance: Provide guidance and scaffold children as they learn and grow, creating an environment that promotes language, communication, early literacy, and fine motor skills.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, including the ability to handle difficult conversations and discuss children's developmental progress.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of daily activities, including meals, naps, and behavior, using our digital platform to communicate with parents and guardians.
  • Individual Support Plans: Create and implement Individual Support Plans when required, and have the ability to advocate for children with their individual needs.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Membership in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, a minimum 2-year employment experience working with Toddler and Preschool children in a group setting, and all necessary qualifications and credentials as required by the Ministry of Education.
  • Certifications: Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C/AED Certification.
