Senators Sports & Entertainment is committed to providing a clean and welcoming environment for all guests and employees at Canadian Tire Centre (CTC). We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodial Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis.

Job Summary

The part-time Custodial Specialist is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of CTC, ensuring it meets high standards of hygiene and appearance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks throughout CTC, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as ride-on auto scrubbers, floor buffers, and push floor scrubbers.
  • Shampoo carpets using carpet extractors and buffers to remove dirt and stains.
  • Clean, strip, buff, and wax floors to maintain their appearance and protect them from damage.
  • Empty recycling and garbage containers throughout the facility.
  • Ensure kitchens are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized nightly.
  • Stock restrooms with soap, toilet paper, hand towels, and other necessary supplies.
  • Clean and polish metal surfaces and elevators to maintain their shine and prevent corrosion.
  • Keep windows and glass doors clean and streak-free.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures outlined by Senators Sports & Entertainment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with cleaning materials, techniques, and equipment.
  • WHMIS certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
