Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Urban Snow Removal Equipment Operator to join our team at the Village of South River, the Municipality of the Village. As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating snow removal equipment to ensure safe and efficient snow clearance in our community.

Responsibilities
  • Operate snow removal equipment, including plows and salt spreaders, to clear snow from roads and sidewalks.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct safety checks on equipment and report any issues to management.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective snow removal operations.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Driver's validity license check.
  • Driver's abstract.
  • Availability for shift or on-call work.
  • Availability for the advertised start date.
  • Legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
  • Previous experience in this field of employment.
  • Required certifications.
