Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Rocky Mountain Behaviour Analysts Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our childcare programs, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and ability to establish guidelines for behaviour.
