About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Rehabilitation Counselor to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a critical role in evaluating the professional, training, and medical needs of clients with disabilities, developing and implementing approved service plans, and providing guidance and support to clients and employers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with our values of Client Perception, Integrity, Partnership, and Community;
  • Meet with clients on-site to assess their needs and potential for rehabilitation;
  • Evaluate client needs and potential for rehabilitation by studying client files and conducting interviews;
  • Provide guidance, referrals, or both as needed to clients with disabilities;
  • Work in partnership with employers and other stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners (claims managers, medical coordinators, healthcare professionals, etc.);
  • Develop realistic and cost-effective rehabilitation plans;
  • Write detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations;
  • Administrative tasks: track rehabilitation activities, track resource utilization; meet performance standards; complete special projects; take responsibility for professional development;
  • Provide services to English-speaking clients;

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a health science, social work, or related field, combined with relevant experience;
  • 4 years of relevant experience in intervention;
  • 5 years of experience in rehabilitation (asset);
  • Experience in facilitation;
  • Experience in coaching and counseling;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Autonomy;
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines and priorities;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Ability to transcribe information to a computer while communicating with clients, employers, healthcare professionals, etc.
  • Experience in the insurance industry (asset);
  • Bilingualism, both spoken and written.
  • A valid driver's license and a vehicle are required due to possible travel.

Special Requirements

  • You must be able to set up office equipment in a designated area in your home and ensure the confidentiality of client files;
  • You will need to be able to address any technical issues with the assistance of our IT department;
  • You must be able to attend regular meetings at our downtown Montreal office;
  • You must have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle, given the need for travel in the Greater Montreal area.
