Sr Analyst, Canadian Taxation

Resolute Forest Products Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Taxation Analyst to join their team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of the Canadian Taxation group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the sound management of Canadian tax issues while implementing best practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in taxation or completion of the CICA In-depth tax courses, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate Canadian taxation. Strong analytical skills, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Canadian quarterly and annual tax provision, research and document related tax accounting issues, and participate actively in the consolidated tax provision;
  • Prepare the Canadian tax returns, from data collection to filing the returns;
  • Assist with commodity tax questions;
  • Assist the Manager in dealing efficiently and timely with tax audits;
  • Prepare technical tax position memorandums on Canadian tax issues and participate in various strategic projects.
