Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next massive sports franchise. As an AI Engineer, you will work closely with Artists, Design, and Production to develop nuanced and sophisticated intelligence that generates variety and authentic behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI features and intelligence technology to execute on the vision for the project.
  • Collaborate with gameplay engineers and designers to identify and develop new AI features and intelligence technology.
  • Advise on the feasibility of design vision and propose solutions to AI challenges.
  • Write and maintain well-documented, robust, and performant code.
  • Optimize code and debug AI issues as they arise.
  • Analyze the sport you are working on to develop the intelligence of the behaviors of the players we are replicating.
  • Assist more junior engineers in making the best use of existing and new AI features.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of proven experience working as an AI or Gameplay Engineer, especially for AAA games on consoles.
  • Expertise and experience with C++.
  • Solid math, linear algebra, and statistics skills.
  • Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
  • Ability to explain technical topics to people of varying levels of expertise.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Passionate about playing and/or watching sports.
  • Experience in Unreal Engine is a plus.
  • Passion for video games (not just ours).
Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position in British Columbia, Canada at the start of employment is expected to be between 105,100 and 155,200 CAD per Year. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
