Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Representative to join our team at STERIS. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their medical equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide proactive communication and resolution to customer issues and problems, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment, including troubleshooting, repairing, and certifying equipment for use.
  • Remote Monitoring and Diagnostic Support: Actively promote, support, and maintain remote monitoring and diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Installation and Conversion Services: Perform installations and conversions on standard and special-purpose equipment, including Amsco sterilizers, as required.
  • Technical Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level technicians, including mentoring and training to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Administrative and Reporting Duties: Utilize technology to perform administrative duties, including planning daily and weekly schedules, communicating with internal and external customers, and completing service reports and activities on-site.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or similar degree, plus four (4) years of related experience. Degree requirement will be waived with eight (8) years' comparable experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computers and Windows software, general knowledge of sterilization principles, steam generators, operating lights and tables, industrial controls, central processing systems, and modular transport systems.
  • Customer Service and Communication Skills: Strong customer communications experience and demonstrated ability to build positive rapport and partner with a variety of customers.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver's license, ability to work flexible hours, sometimes outside normal business hours, and travel as required.
