Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Learning Support Services Teacher to join our team at Traditional Learning Academy Online. As a key member of our Learning Support Services department, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special and diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:- Maintain knowledge and access to resources and strategies to assist students with special needs.
- Oversee educational assistants and ensure effective implementation of programs for K-12 students with special educational needs.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, and complete all administrative requirements.
- Coordinate assessments to identify students' specific educational needs and develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and student learning plans (SLPs).
- Assist parents and educational assistants with access to services available to support the delivery of the IEP.
- Instruct educational assistants in the implementation of IEPs and SLPs, and set learning standards for each student in collaboration with parents, students, and other TLA teachers and support staff.
- Facilitate group activities, including lessons, discussions, field trips, and workshops, in person and/or through technological means.
- Assist students to access paper-based and online learning resources, including TLA teacher-specialist support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with special and diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work in an online setting and collaborate with remote teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
