Job Title: Floor Covering Installer

The Smart Renovations Inc is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.
  • Install Flooring: Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms, and install vinyl decking materials.
  • Inspect and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced installation environment, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials
