Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at 15325056 CANADA INC. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working on site, with exposure to dusty and noisy environments. You will be required to work outdoors and in construction settings.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with material handling and safety protocols
  • Knowledge of drywall finishing techniques and tools
