Key Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Prepare comprehensive estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Blueprint Analysis: Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure that estimates are aligned with project scope.
- Estimate Reporting: Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify areas of cost savings and optimize project budgets.
- Communication: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Supply Chain Management: Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring efficient procurement and delivery of materials.
- Tender Evaluation: Analyze tenders and recommend awards to stakeholders, ensuring that projects are awarded to the most suitable contractors.
- Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 44 hours per week.
