Culinary Specialist Job Description

Rivertown Rail Inc is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, ensuring that we meet the needs of our customers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that our team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate and Food Safety Certificate.
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment where you will be required to work under pressure and stand for extended periods. You must be able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Language:

The primary language of this role is English.

Work Hours:

This is a 40-hour per week position.
