A vibrant family practice clinic in a picturesque Canadian town is seeking a dedicated family physician to join our team. Located in the heart of Qualicum Beach, our clinic offers a unique opportunity to provide primary care to a community of engaged and health-literate patients.
About the ClinicOur clinic is part of the Island Health network and is known for its exceptional team-oriented patient care and work-life balance. We have a supportive on-site nurse, social worker, and clinical pharmacist through the PCN, and our clinic has the user-friendly MedAccess EMR. Overhead is an affordable even-split between clinic physicians, and out-of-office billings are not charged overhead.
Opportunities and BenefitsWe encourage you to pursue your special interests and create a fulfilling practice that best fits your personal and professional goals. Current specific clinic interests and experience include maternity, women's health, dermatology, geriatrics, MAiD, First Nations Health, and global health. Opportunities exist to participate in the walk-in medical clinic at Qualicum First Nation, and local EM coverage, palliative care, LTC, and DOD opportunities are readily available. Hospitalist and maternity privileges are available at the nearby Comox or Nanaimo Regional General Hospital if desired.
Community and LifestyleQualicum Beach is a charming rural town with a small-town feel and a strong sense of community. Enjoy the year-round Saturday farmer's market, extensive hiking and biking trails, and stunning waterfront. The town has excellent schools and endless recreational activity options, and is close to a major city with a regional airport and several large passenger and vehicle ferries to/from Vancouver.
Remuneration and BenefitsMay be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA), including a fee premium of 4.62%. Overhead is an affordable even-split for full-service physicians and 75%/25% split for locums.
