Position Responsibilities

  • Safely transport passengers in wheelchair-accessible vans, minivans, or sedans to pre-approved locations while adhering to all road safety regulations.
  • Work hours typically span Monday to Friday, with potential shifts lasting up to 11 to 14 hours per day, totaling a maximum of 60 hours per week.
  • Weekend trips may be available on a voluntary basis for those seeking additional hours.
  • Provide safe, calm, and reliable transportation through excellent customer service, communication, and defensive driving skills.
  • Assist passengers with their needs, including handling luggage, helping them in and out of the vehicle, and securing seat belts.
  • Maintain real-time communication with our Dispatch Department and navigate our company systems daily.

Position Requirements

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of driving experience with a valid G Driver's License and the ability to provide a clean driver's abstract.
  • Good overall physical health, with the capability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Preferably a non-smoker, considering the health conditions of transported individuals.
  • Ability to wear a protective mask and work with sanitizing products as necessary.
  • Provide a current police check, including a vulnerable sector search, upon joining the company.
  • Hold a valid CPR Certificate, with the company covering renewal costs during employment.
  • Comfortable driving for extended periods based on trip requirements.
  • Proficient in navigating an Android smartphone and utilizing GPS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the regional geographic area, particularly the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to assess and assist passengers with physical limitations.
  • A secure location to store the company vehicle when not in use.
