Position Overview

The role involves playing a key part in the organized efforts of preparing and distributing products to our retail locations. Responsibilities must adhere to all Food Safety regulations, ensuring a high-quality service approach to all customers, colleagues, and suppliers. All tasks should be executed in alignment with the Farm Boy Way.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently pick orders utilizing a scanning system and assist in training new staff on its operation. Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients. Conduct daily inventory assessments by warehouse section. Precisely assemble orders for dispatch, ensuring proper documentation and stacking order. Guarantee proper product rotation to uphold quality and freshness. Maintain receiving equipment, the receiving area, coolers, and storage facilities in a safe, clean, and organized manner. Promptly dispose of collected waste. Keep work and storage areas tidy and safe at all times, performing general housekeeping as necessary. Adhere to all health and safety protocols, particularly concerning equipment usage and customer safety. Perform janitorial tasks as needed. May be asked to take on other related duties occasionally.

Required Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is an asset. Familiarity with operating scanners and motorized equipment, including ride-on pallet jacks, walkie equipment, and order pickers. Ability to follow directives with minimal supervision. Good physical fitness is essential. High standards of cleanliness are required. Flexibility regarding availability and scheduling is necessary. Strong time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Proficiency in both official languages is a plus.

Work Environment:

Exposure to potentially hazardous or unpleasant environmental factors such as noise, dirt, dust, vibration, and extreme temperatures. Providing service to multiple individuals or departments while managing several simultaneous deadlines. May need to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment. Required to lift, carry, or handle heavy items.
