We are seeking a Senior GRC Manager within our Information Security division.
Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Information Security Team, reporting directly to the AVP of Information Security, you will be tasked with safeguarding the security, integrity, and accessibility of First National's information assets. Your role will involve enhancing and managing security programs to ensure continuous improvement and compliance across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
In-depth expertise in information security, including security strategies and management frameworks. Familiarity with current security standards and best practices, especially ISO 27001. Experience in developing, maintaining, and reviewing Information Security Policies, Standards, Processes, and Procedures. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Reporting Structure:

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and enhance the Information Security Management Framework. Foster robust relationships across various organizational departments. Oversee the security risk management and compliance strategy, framework, and methodology. Provide guidance to teams within First National on the design and execution of effective security controls. Monitor and report on the status of risk response initiatives.Governance Responsibilities:
Define, implement, communicate, and oversee the Information Security Strategy and Program. Review, update, and implement security policies, procedures, and technical standards to protect First National's assets while ensuring compliance with relevant risks, contracts, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure compliance and alignment of Security Governance frameworks with security standards, particularly ISO27001. Assist in organizing and conducting security steering committee meetings. Manage the Data Security program, IAM Program, and Physical Security program as part of the broader GRC initiative. Promote and participate in the security training and awareness program. Prepare reports and presentations as necessary. Provide updates to senior management regarding critical risks and issues that may impact enterprise security objectives. Support the expansion of the Information Security framework and program throughout the organization. Ensure that Information Security projects meet their objectives, address constraints, and align resources as defined by stakeholders.Risk Management Duties:
Lead the Information Security Risk Management program by assessing information security risks related to personnel, processes, data, and associated security controls. Oversee all relevant information security risks and assist in the treatment of identified risks. Support the third-party risk assessment process to ensure transparency and compliance with business acceptance and contractual obligations. Ensure that all program-specific risk assessment outcomes integrate into the overall information security risk management program.Compliance Management Tasks:
Monitor and review internal security risk assessments. Develop and assess measures, metrics, and internal controls related to cybersecurity assessments. Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to identify and implement actions for compliance with information management and protection laws. Ensure that programs maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Audit Management Responsibilities:
Assist with current and future security-related audit and certification processes. Support audit and assessment activities, including internal and external audits, vendor assessments, and benchmarking.Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 7 years in information security management within a medium to large organization, specifically in the GRC domain. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required; a graduate degree is preferred. Relevant information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO27001, or equivalent are preferred. Information systems auditing certification such as CISA is desirable. Preference for candidates with experience in Azure, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft security products. Management experience in the financial services sector is advantageous. Proven experience with information security management frameworks. Experience in developing and maintaining information security policies and procedures for financial institutions. Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex projects. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills. Leadership capabilities to collaborate effectively with business unit managers and IT operations staff. Ability to align management strategies with project objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A collaborative team player. Proven ability to lead teams through new and complex processes.About First National:
