About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Technician to join our Buildings Mechanical & Electrical team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for modeling, drafting, and design of mechanical and electrical systems for building projects in the public and private sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Assist with the design of mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Coordinate with project teams, external vendors, engineers, and architects.
  • Execute directions as provided by engineers and management.
  • Gather resources to assist in problem-solving.
  • Occasional local travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Related Engineering or Architectural Technology diploma.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of building codes and standards.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
