About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Excavation Labourer to join our team at Gogo Excavating & Contracting Ltd. As an Excavation Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the excavation process, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as sand, gravel, and cement, from trucks and equipment.
  • Transporting Materials: Transport materials to and from construction sites using heavy equipment, such as cranes and forklifts.
  • Cleaning and Lubricating Equipment: Clean and lubricate cranes, excavators, and other heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Erecting and Dismantling Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mixing and Pouring Materials: Assist in mixing and pouring materials, such as concrete and asphalt, to complete construction projects.
  • Assembling Tower Cranes: Assist in assembling tower cranes on site.
  • Assisting in Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Paving and Raking Asphalt: Assist in paving and raking asphalt to complete construction projects.
  • Demolishing Buildings: Assist in demolishing buildings and structures.
  • Cleaning and Piling Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Performing Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willing to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights, underground, noisy, dusty, and hot.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, willing to relocate, high-rise building construction sites, rural area, industrial plant, offshore drilling rig, factory or plant, and construction site.
  • Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding, handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player.
