Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will function as a member of the larger Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) or Tertiary Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary care team. This team provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life.
The successful candidate will provide specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families, and will support iOAT (injectable opioid agonist treatment) services in Kelowna. iOAT is an evidence-based treatment intervention for people with severe opioid use disorder (OUD) who have been refractory to treatment with oral opioid agonist therapy (OAT).
This is a casual opportunity, which means hours are not guaranteed and may vary, and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.
Shifts of work are days, with shift times of 09:00 to 21:00. The successful candidate will be surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and will have access to a variety of recreational activities, including wine tours, golfing, skiing, boating, swimming, and camping.

Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing
- Two years' recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s)
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Current valid B.C. driver's license
