We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. As a General Practitioner in Oncology, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to cancer patients in South West Nova Scotia.
The Oncology Unit at YRH serves a growing number of patients accessing chemotherapy services and provides a comfortable and private area for patients. The unit features a satellite pharmacy for preparation of drugs used in chemotherapy, allowing for an unprecedented level of pharmacy involvement in education and treatment.
You will work closely with our experienced nursing and specialist teams to provide outpatient clinical services to cancer patients. A training stipend may be available for a Family Medicine physician with no oncology expertise.

Expected HoursThis part-time position (0.4 FTE) offers a variable patient load, allowing for a great work-life balance.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must be eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. You must also have completed training in Oncology as determined via partnership with Cancer Care Nova Scotia.
We offer support for a site visit, relocation, and additional training in oncology.
