Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team at The Peak Group of Companies. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining high A/R turnover ratios, tracking and disputing disputed items, and preparing periodic reports on collection activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively maintain high accounts receivable turnover ratios to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Track and dispute disputed items, escalating issues promptly to minimize losses.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic reports on collection activities and progress, providing insights to improve cash flow management.
  • Process customer invoices and credit notes for multiple companies and currencies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Verify and audit pricing and discounts on customer invoices to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Process payment receipts and reconcile any discrepancies, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with analysis of sales and related items, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support other accounting duties and projects as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting or a related field, with previous accounting experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounts receivable principles, including cash flow management and financial regulations.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Previous experience with a Microsoft ERP system is an asset, but not required.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Highly organized and able to work well as part of a team, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
