Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished General Manager to lead our Canadian commercial affiliates and drive business growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish credibility and leadership with the management team and stakeholders
  • Provide strategic direction and effective management to ensure a strong team working culture
  • Ensure achievement of company objectives and profit targets
  • Interface effectively with global divisions to maximize lifecycle opportunities for products
  • Represent the company and be responsible for legal and fiscal matters
  • Maximize sales and profit growth of the affiliate
  • Develop and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Drive access negotiations and political intervention with stakeholders
Requirements
  • Significant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in sales and marketing, new product launches, and leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of leading a business within the specialty pharma space and hands-on experience in an operational management position
  • International experience at a regional or global level
  • Advanced experience in product launch and lifecycle management, especially in the context of specialty products
  • Strong financial skills with a proven ability to manage a P&L and balance sheet
  • Charisma, personal and professional maturity, and data-driven decision making

  • In-depth knowledge of the Market Access environment in Canada
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills and project management
