Position Overview

This role is integral to the success of the Alberta University of the Arts, focusing on enhancing program visibility and engagement through effective marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Marketing and Recruitment

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for various educational programs, including workshops, boot camps, and micro-credentials.
  • Ensure the integrity of the continuing education brand through impactful marketing initiatives aimed at increasing enrollment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service as the primary contact for prospective students via institutional communication channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance marketing efforts, offering insights on effective engagement and conversion strategies.
  • Assist the Continuing Education team with program-specific tasks, including event support and content creation for promotional materials.
  • Engage in university-wide committees and outreach initiatives to promote programs and gather market insights.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with external stakeholders during promotional events.

Digital Content Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of departmental web pages, ensuring they are user-friendly and informative.
  • Implement changes and enhancements to website content, focusing on search engine optimization and user experience.
  • Lead creative projects related to branding and design for micro-credential offerings, ensuring alignment with established brand standards.
  • Create compelling content for various platforms, including digital and print media, to effectively reach target audiences.
  • Utilize design software to enhance marketing materials and promote programs across social media channels.
  • Develop unique branding and design elements for diverse programs, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

Data Analysis and Support

  • Assist in the setup and management of course offerings, ensuring accurate program information is available.
  • Enhance communication strategies within the course management system, focusing on automated messaging and user engagement.
  • Design and analyze satisfaction surveys to gather feedback and improve program offerings.
  • Utilize performance metrics to evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, or business.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in marketing and content creation, particularly in digital environments.
  • Proficient in social media platforms and basic web technologies.
  • Experience with marketing tools and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data.
  • Familiarity with post-secondary education and entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Background in business writing and educational recruitment is advantageous.
