Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Set-up Operator to join our team at Magna Exteriors. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling mill equipment, maintaining high-quality products, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and prepare the rolling mill for operation, ensuring all safety checks are completed and recorded.
  • Operate and maintain rolling mill controls, tooling protection, and other equipment as required.
  • Monitor and record inspection results, SPC charts, and checking fixtures to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and storing rolls, and making minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of rolling mill operations, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to follow written instructions.
  • Valid forklift license and ability to operate heavy equipment (training provided if necessary).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with rolling mill induction welding and other related processes.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS/GHS and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Ability to work overtime and adapt to changing production demands.
