We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Framing Specialist to join our team at INDUS CONSTRUCTION LTD. in a permanent position.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements, and preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Prepare tenders and quotations.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Scheduling and co-ordinating work on sites.
- Surveying building locations and levels.
- Instructing apprentices.
- Supervising other workers.
- Estimating costs and materials.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy and dusty environments.
- Ability to work outdoors.
- Ability to relocate.
The successful candidate will be working in a construction environment with various locations, relocation costs covered by the employer.
Language:The language of work is English.
Hours of Work:The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
