About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst Lead to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Global Markets Division, you will be responsible for leading a team of quantitative analysts and managing the monitoring of pricing models and margining models for the AMER branch of the bank.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage a team of quantitative analysts responsible for running and executing the monitoring of pricing models and margining models.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely monitoring of these models, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
  3. Develop and improve existing monitoring methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Collaborate with other quantitative analysts to establish new monitoring requirements and methodologies.
  5. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize monitoring processes.
  6. Participate in the monitoring of SGI operations, SIMM Model, and other risk metrics owned by Global Market Department.

Project Management and Governance

  1. Manage projects aimed at addressing quantitative recommendations issued by Audit, RISQ, or regulators.
  2. Ensure project milestones are met, and deliverables are completed within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  4. Contribute to the documentation of pricing models, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  5. Assist in the certification of the inventory of pricing models and maintain the rating of these models.

Requirements

Must Have:

  1. Master's degree in quantitative finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Proven experience in leading and managing a team of quantitative analysts.
  4. Good understanding of pricing models, margining models, and risk metrics.
  5. Good project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  6. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and C++/C#.
  7. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Language:

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
