Accounting Technician Job Description

At Trillium Interim Staffing, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, maintaining financial records, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports, to support business decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position with 32 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
