Job Title: Plumber

Venus Plumbing Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Supervise other workers.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Work Environment:

The Plumber will work in various locations, including confined spaces and wet/damp environments. The work setting will be on the road, and the Plumber will be required to travel to different sites.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
Work Conditions:

The Plumber will work 40 hours per week, with a vehicle supplied by the employer. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English.
