The Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring that designated raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods are transported according to the instructions of the scheduling, purchasing, and shipping departments.
Key Responsibilities- Work in compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation;
- Facilitate material movement between plants;
- Inspect, according to ministry guidelines, all material handling equipment, tractor trailer, or truck trailer in their care;
- Ensure housekeeping standards are met within areas of responsibility;
- Facilitate movement of material to Coatings suppliers and pickup material as scheduled on a daily basis from various suppliers as directed;
- Manage E-Log requirements as mandated by Ontario government.
- Appropriate licensing to cover the designated truck class is required with a clean driving record;
- A strong driving record as noted by the Ministry of Transportation is required;
- Good oral communication skills are required;
- Strong attention to detail is required;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
