Job Opportunity: Substitute Teachers

We are seeking qualified Substitute Teachers to join our team at Pembina Hills School Division.

Job Summary:

Pembina Hills School Division is a dynamic and collaborative learning environment that provides education to approximately 3800 students in 15 community schools in north central Alberta. As a Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including Early Learning and Elementary locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and support to students in the absence of regular teachers
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth transition for students
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians

Requirements:

  • Valid Alberta teaching certificate
  • Proficiency in the use of educational technology
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Successful classroom teaching experience
