About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Ruskin Enterprises Ltd. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials to and from the site.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assist in Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level Earth and Pave Asphalt: Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt as needed.
  • Demolish Buildings and Clean Up: Assist in demolishing buildings and clean up rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Direct Traffic and Assist with Heavy Loads: Direct traffic at or near construction sites and assist with handling heavy loads.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty, and hot.
  • Work Setting: Construction site.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, team player, hardworking, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 40 hours per week.
