About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Rainbow Siding Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare accurate layouts and measurements using precision tools to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel, to create seamless structures.
  • Build and install foundations, floor beams, subflooring, walls, and roof systems, ensuring stability and durability.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Excellent judgment and reliability, with a strong ability to work as part of a team.
  • 1-6 months of experience in a related field, with a focus on finish carpentry and woodworking.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 35 hours of work per week, with a focus on quality and productivity.
