Job Title: Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Blue Water Concepts Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in the field of carpentry
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy environments
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
