Job Title: Security Guard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team at Guardteck Security. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our clients' properties, ensuring the well-being of patrons and clients, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable manner
  • Utilize tact and diplomacy when on duty to ensure a positive experience for all individuals
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arrive
  • Maintain and enforce access control procedures to ensure the security of the property
  • Investigate incidents and occurrences, and draft detailed incident and occurrence reports
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to ensure the security of the property
  • De-escalate emergency/crisis situations and assist emergency and law enforcement personnel as needed
  • Assist with daily operations as required, including access control, line management, and customer service
Requirements:
  • Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot for extended periods (8-12 hours)
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have at least 1 year of prior Security experience and a strong command and fluency in the English language
  • Must be able to take a proactive approach to all onsite situations and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Must be able to handle stress and pressure and make sound decisions under duress
  • Must be comfortable working in a busy, highly populated area and demonstrate high attention to detail/observational awareness
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a team
