About the Role

Ontario Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Office of the Chief Clinical Executives. As a key member of our program, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the successful delivery of our screening-related objectives and annual commitments to the Ministry of Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex, multi-workstream projects with provincial scope, balancing scope, time, cost, and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high-performance standards.
  • Lead a team of assigned project staff, including delegating, scheduling, and prioritizing staff workloads, and supporting staff development goals.
  • Pull diverse and interdisciplinary groups together, emphasizing interdependence, shared overall objectives, and the need for combined skills.
  • Monitor all project deliverables to ensure successful delivery within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Adhere to our project management framework and lead complex interdependencies between projects and with key partners.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled status reviews, provide business guidance, identify deviations to the work plan, and implement corrective action.
  • Develop and present material for review and informational purposes using excellent written, verbal, and graphical communications skills, with the ability to express complex concepts effectively.
  • Be the key interface with managers, directors, executives, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate exceptional tactical and critical strategic thinking.
  • Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset; an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Project Management certification is required.
  • 5-8 years of relevant Project Management experience leading projects in a healthcare environment is required.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Experience in change management, process development, and business/project management operations is preferred.
  • Ability to successfully execute on multiple large-scale, complex, high-risk projects.
  • Ability to lead staff in a project environment.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, clinicians, external healthcare organizations, and customers/vendors.
  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility, and respect.
  • Must be passionate about leadership, organizational health, culture, values, and team development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a hands-on manner, adjusting to issues as needed in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, evaluate alternatives, find solutions, and make decisions.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to distill complex concepts by providing clarity to an executive-level audience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Excel.
