Job Title: Welder

Exalted Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work at heights. The work site is outdoors, and the job requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure that welds meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production line
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination
