We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Elite M&D Homes Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to carpentry, including preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, and assembling and joining wood and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
- Survey building locations and levels
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
