About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Solutions Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly available and scalable solutions leveraging public cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business and technology needs
  • Work closely with application teams to provide comprehensive solutions across a broad infrastructure service area
  • Architect and deploy full-stack applications in public cloud environments (GCP and Azure preferred)
  • Migrate applications from on-prem data centers to public cloud environments
  • Develop and maintain expertise in emerging technologies, operational best practices, and technical architecture
Requirements
  • 8+ years of technical working experience in cloud infrastructure and application engineering
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and deploying full-stack applications in public cloud environments
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-Code tools
  • Advanced technical understanding of emerging technologies and operational best practices
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Engineering or a relevant field
