Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at Certification and Accounting Group. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial information and strategies to businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Perform compilation, review, and audit engagements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to provide a clear picture of a company's financial situation.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations to identify discrepancies and irregularities in financial documents and records.
  • Develop accounting plans and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the engagement team to build relationships with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, preferably with a major in accounting or finance.
  • Enrollment in the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Professional Education Program.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience with accounting and tax software, an asset.
