About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our team at Menya Kouji Enterprises Inc. as a key member of our visual communications team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and Plan Projects: Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations, and plan accordingly to meet client expectations.
  • Client Consultation: Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations to meet their communications needs.
  • Design and Development: Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, and work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Production Coordination: Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials, and consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials.
  • Medium Selection: Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication.
  • Graphic Element Development: Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives, and prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements.
  • Resource Utilization: Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Corporation.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under tight deadlines, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, creativity, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
