Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team at the City of Brampton. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the City of Brampton's facilities and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of the City of Brampton's facilities, including the exterior and interior of the buildings, to prevent and detect any security breaches.
- Incident Response: Respond to and investigate security incidents, including alarms, suspicious activity, and emergency situations.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to the City of Brampton's facilities, including the entrance and exit points, to ensure that only authorized personnel and visitors have access.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the City of Brampton's staff, visitors, and emergency services to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and other security-related documentation as required.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in security and customer service.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Experience: Minimum three years of security experience, preferably in a municipal government or corporate environment.
- License and Certification: Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario and current First Aid/CPR certification required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
The Security Guard will work in a fast-paced environment, exposed to various weather conditions and extreme temperatures. The position requires the ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
