Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dino's Pizza Summerside. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy kitchen and dining areas.
  • Requisition Supplies: Order and manage the inventory of food and kitchen supplies to ensure we have the necessary resources to deliver exceptional service.
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and train a team of food service staff to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Train Staff: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to help staff improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Estimate Ingredients: Accurately estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and ensure we have the necessary resources.
  • Hire Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and service meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Supervision:

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people.

  • Persons with Disabilities: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomers and Refugees: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Youth: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Veterans: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Visible Minorities: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
