Overview

We are looking for a dedicated individual to become a part of our Commissioning Team at Kelson. This role is centered around verifying that all piping and equipment, as specified in the project documentation, has been installed correctly and functions effectively as an integrated system. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical expertise and the ability to maintain a comprehensive perspective on the entire project scope.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and execute all functional testing protocols for systems implemented in a project.
  • Reference diagrams, technical documentation, schematics, manuals, standards, and regulations.
  • Document all test outcomes in alignment with manufacturer instructions and project requirements, and prepare necessary reports.
  • Create a list of deficiencies and oversee the resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Analyze data and generate technical documentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate air and hydronic balancing processes.
  • Direct the external control vendor programming team.
  • Complete all required documentation to confirm process completion.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Completion of an Industrial Instrumentation Technology program and/or a recognized Red Seal Trade.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a multi-project construction setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of control systems and hydronic principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting large-scale project drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry construction standards.
  • Understanding of the P3 construction model.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse group of contributors.
