Chief Technology and Data Assurance Officer

CPP Investments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology and Data Assurance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Assurance and Advisory department, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of Technology and Data audits, providing subject-matter expertise on technology and data risks, and overseeing the evaluation of IT controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the planning and execution of Technology and Data audits, including setting objectives and scope, developing work programs, and ensuring adherence to our Audit Manual and Institute Standards.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on technology and data risks and oversee the evaluation of IT controls.
- Support the development of and oversee continuous monitoring activities, identify emerging technology and data risks, and propose changes to the Audit Plan where required.
- Provide advisory services, maintaining objectivity and independence, and demonstrate agility to anticipate, adapt, and pilot approaches that create value.
- Foster an inclusive team environment based on trust, with a safe-to-speak-up culture, and promote and foster continuous professional development of the A&A team.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; post-graduate degree is an asset.
- CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or similar professional designations preferred; CPA, CIA, CFE, CRMA, or similar professional designations are considered an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT audit or risk management, preferably in financial services.
- Extensive experience with IT infrastructure, applications, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity audits.
- Proficiency in data analytics and data visualization tools is an asset.
