Job Summary

Thompson Bus & Freight Ltd. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment

Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in heavy equipment and trucks.

Diagnose and Repair Faults

Determine the extent of repair required and adjust equipment accordingly.

Perform Maintenance and Repairs

Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy equipment and trucks.

Verify and Repair Emission Control Systems

Ensure that emission control systems are functioning properly.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Physically demanding work environment.

Dependability, flexibility, reliability, and team player.

Experience

3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
