About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our team at Edmonton Chrome Shop Inc as a Mechanic Helper. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our mechanics with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Mechanics: Provide support to our experienced mechanics with tasks such as moving equipment, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the public.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, with tasks involving bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

  • Reliability: Demonstrate a strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.
  • Team Player: Showcase excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Language: Proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with flexibility to adapt to changing shop needs.
