Job Title: Student Counsellor

Ontario Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Student Counsellor to join our team. As a Student Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Education: Provide guidance and support to students in their academic pursuits, including helping them choose courses and programs that align with their interests and career goals.
  • Experience: Collaborate with students to identify and develop strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving success in their academic and personal lives.
  • Counselling: Offer one-on-one counselling sessions to students, providing a safe and confidential space for them to discuss their concerns and challenges.
  • Program Development: Work with the team to develop and implement guidance and counselling programs that meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Supervision: Provide supervision and support to junior staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services to students.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, psychology, or counselling.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a student counselling or guidance role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail required.
What We Offer:
  • Permanent Full-time Position: 35 hours per week.
